At Quality Education Support Trust (QUEST), we are committed to transforming learning experiences for children in tribal and rural communities. Since 2007, we have been running innovative, research-driven programs in Early Childhood and elementary education, along with teacher professional development. QUEST has impacted Anganwadis and government schools across 24 districts in Maharashtra, equipping teachers and providing students with Quality Education.

When we started working on Early Literacy, we realized that there are hardly any good Marathi books for early readers. That prompted us to organize a workshop for authors from all over Maharashtra to write books. The books that were created in this workshop were extremely varied - some were stories, while some were about experiences. Some were in standard Marathi while others were in rural dialects. We asked illustrators to participate in the workshop as well, so that the books were visualized by the authors and illustrators together. 

We are happy that these books are now published and being used by teachers and parents to foster an interest for reading among young learners. We have generally received positive feedback, which has prompted us to translate some of these books into English and soon we will publish them in Hindi as well.
